About:
The student government at Deer Park’s John F. Kennedy Intermediate School held a creative candy fundraiser on Feb. 13 and 14, selling gift lollipops outside the school’s cafeteria during lunch periods. Students then delivered the “lolli-tines” in the afternoon on Valentine’s Day.
According to adviser Patricia Katz, the money raised will be used to support school improvements and community charities chosen by student government representatives.
